Sprit Halloween is expanding it’s new store, Spirit Christmas, to over 30 locations across the country beginning in December. According to Spirit CEO Peter Merchant, the company plans to build off the popularity of it’s pop-up Halloween stores.
“Consumers love our hands-on Halloween stores where we turn unused retail backroom space into retail backroom space full of cheaply made costumes and decorations,” Merchant said. “We’re planning on bringing that same sketchy experience to Christmas shoppers.”
Interactive Stores!
Walking into a Spirit Christmas store, shoppers will be welcomed by The North Pole Rabid Reindeer Petting Zoo, where kids can touch Santa’s whimsically diseased venison. For families wanting a more action-packed experience, take a ride in Santa’s Sleigh Slay. In this virtual reality bloodbath, families shoot the meth heads who are trying to steal Santa’s presents as he makes his deliveries in “the bad part of town.”
Costumes!
Spirit Christmas will carry a large assortment of Christmas-themed costumes, including:
Sponge Bob Jesus Pants
K-Pop Grinch Hunters
Catholic Priest Furry
Scream Face Santa
Slutty Virgin Mary
Rudolph the Steampunk Reindeer
Diddy’s Christmas Party Attendee
Pennywise the Elf on the Shelf

Freddy Krueger’s Miracle on Elm Street – Turn your lawn into a new Christmas mashup! See a ten-foot tall Freddy Krueger as he fills in for a deceased Santa Claus in the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. The motion activated Santa Krueger will realistically slice prices, and shoppers, in front of the haunted Midtown Manhattan Macy’s. Next, on the twenty-five foot tall screen, you’ll see the nightmares Kruger creates for all the children on Christmas Eve. Remember – Faith is believing in nightmares when common sense tells you not to.
