Life is a mystery, isn’t it. The sun peaks through your blinds and lands itself neatly on the light illuminating from the lamp that was bought to brighten the room. A man puts his shoes on to walk downstairs and pick up his package, a new pair of boots. And for veteran Spirit Airlines Dick Murdoch, the train isn’t just his way to work. It’s his moment of grounding and solitude before life picks him up and puts him in the sky like a big boy. He holds my life and the lives of three dozen strangers in his little grubby hands. He is my king, my keeper, my god. But today, we both took the train to paradise. Let’s just hope her gets me safely to my first day at work at my new job, astronaut at NASA.
