Tomorrow is the Super Bowl, an important football game. We’re almost certainly going to do a post about it. Probably something like “10 Ways To Guarantee You Never Have To Host A Super Bowl Party At Your Apartment Or See Anyone Who Attended This Year’s Ever Again.” Because of this, I went to Canva to find a simple Super Bowl watch party graphic that I could slightly alter and use as our header image, as I often do.
For example, here’s one I didn’t change other than adding our little guy, that I found very funny because it is SO dramatic.

Now, I understand the whole design of Canva is that they offer simple graphics with stock text and images, that are purposefully designed to be replaced. I also understand Canva uses more AI seemingly every day and that could be the source of this next design.
But I also know for a fact that I have used literally dozens of their designs without ever swapping the images, because they almost always make at least the smallest bit of sense. So, I ask, what’s going on in this one?

Is the idea that there’s a big football game on at the same time as a big baseball game and we’ll have to pick which to watch? No, I don’t think so. I think the idea is clearly that these are two star athletes representing their teams on a graphic hyping their upcoming face-off.
They play in the Football Super League, which appears to utilize baseball gloves along with traditional pigskins. Is that glove for catching that football, or is there also a baseball in there? It sure looks like he’s in a pitchers stance.
Is this quite possibly the most dangerous sport to ever exist? I’m not sure. What I am sure about, is that it “could” be.

I have now invented a competitor to the Football Super League I call Super Football Super League. It’s a lot like Football Super League in the sense that it combines American football and baseball, but it also folds in fencing so that there are swords, and hockey so that we can appeal to gay audiences.
So, in conclusion, sharks, I’m looking for an opening investment of 4 billion dollars.
