We all know stock images can get pretty messed up, but look at the one we’ve included below. This is the most batshit crazy stock image I’ve ever seen. It might not seem that way at first since, most of the time, stock images are more overtly weird; you can instantly tell when it’s not right. Maybe it’s a stock image of a guy with devil horns having extreme bowel issues. Maybe it’s a picture of a wife about to cut her husband’s head like lettuce on the kitchen counter. Maybe it’s just a disturbing amount of pages devoted to images based on a search term like “serial killer.”
But this one…this will really make you think. You’ll notice that the woman slipping the ring on the man’s finger has a very, very noticeable mustache, and since this is such a high-resolution image, it will rock the foundation of every belief you’ve ever had. What’s the motivation behind this? Was it an intentional move to include a mustachioed woman? What is this trying to say? The problem is that it doesn’t even matter what this stock image could possibly be about; you’ll never be able to figure it out and you’ll never be able to focus on anything else.
That goes for everything in your life. You’ll be driving to work and this stock image will creep into your mind. It’ll sit in your brain through every meeting, where you won’t remember a thing because you were so distracted. You won’t be able to focus on your loved ones. They’ll become amorphous blobs. You’ll lose control of your own extremities as the thought of this stock image paralyzes every fiber of your being.
“My God,” you’re thinking. “I don’t want this hell for myself!”
It’s too late – you’ve seen it. Your nightmare has only just begun.
