    Ely, Minnesota

    Cabin in the woods

This relaxing resort town in the heart of unspoiled American wilderness boasts world-class freshwater fishing and the famous Blueberry Festival each August. We recommend you go to the Moose Track Adventures resort, where there is a reservation under the name “Dana Metzger.” You will be assigned to cabin 12 and behind a loose stone on the mantlepiece you will find cash, several passports, and a scrap of paper with some sort of message – we’re told you’ll be able to make sense of it.

    Boston, Massachusetts

    Boston

Where the pleasures of the seaside and the allure of colonial history come together! Enjoy a relaxing fishing trip on Boston Harbor. Visit many points of historical interest, from Paul Revere’s house to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library. Drop in on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, home of Dr. Helen Arceniega, a leading specialist in the recovery of long-term memories. She’s worked with us before, and she may be able to help you find those six missing weeks.

    Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany

    Rothenburg ob der Tauber

This picturesque medieval town in the heart of Franconia lies on Germany’s “Romantic Road” and boasts stunning architecture, fun shops, and diverting museums chronicling a very colorful local history. Your dear departed parents were well-known around here, very well-known indeed. Grab a bite to eat in one of Rothenburg’s many quaint Gasthof-style pubs – and if you should happen to strike up a conversation with an older patron, and learn something to your benefit, so much the better.

    Tulum, Mexico

    Tulum Mexico

Mere minutes from Cancun, Cozumel, and Playa del Carmen in the gorgeous Yucatan, Tulum is a must for a history buff like yourself. The mandala art on the walls of this historic Mayan ruin bears striking resemblances to the visions you had while you were drugged in Chengari’s laboratory. That has to mean something.

    Moscow, Russia

    Moscow Russia

Known as “The City of Heroes,” for centuries the austere beauty of Russia’s capital has entranced poets, philosophers, and all those who seek answers. Stroll around the Kremlin, appreciate the breathtaking architecture, perhaps taking a moment to meditate upon the injustices done to you by the men within those walls. Then cross Red Square and visit Kitay-Gorod, former home of the Constitutional Court of Russia, in whose archives you will find some files that are not supposed to exist.

    Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania

    Zebras

The safari capital of East Africa boasts rhinoceros, zebras, wildebeest, eland, and dozens of other amazing animals in their natural habitat. Bring your hiking boots – the satellite transmissions we intercepted were localized somewhere in the northeast, near the Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. Pay the permit and come armed, in case of lions or other “large game.”

    Murree, Pakistan

    Murree Pakistan

Get far away from it all, in the highest mountains on Earth! Established by the British as a health retreat, Murree is known across South Asia today as a first-class destination for year-round mountaineering. The neighboring Galyat valley boasts many scenic hiking trails, and for the adventurous, wilderness expeditions deep into the Himalayan countryside guided by the local Karlal people. Many members of this tribe were employed by the British during colonial times in various “active roles,” and one of the men who tried to accost you outside the train station was foolish enough to be carrying several handwritten notes in their language. It’s worth looking into.

    Tokyo, Japan

    Tokyo Japan

Strap yourself in for the hypermodern delights of Asia’s busiest, most glamorous city! Take a tour of the Meiji palace and the museums in Ueno, and cap it off with an afternoon window-shopping through Harajuku’s trendy boutiques. While you’re there, you might pop into a certain electronics shop whose IP address made several pings on the phone of the late Chengari. If you need more information, there’s a well-connected bartender in Ikebukuro named Tagawa – he won’t want to talk, but tell him we’re calling in our favor.

    Hong Kong, China

    Hong Kong

You’re so close to putting it all together. You know about your parents, about your memory, about Chengari – and yes, about us. But you still don’t how you fit into this. Why we chose you over all our other subjects. We know the last thing you want to do is trust us, but we also know that you’ll never rest until you know the truth. You’ll find it. Go to where it all began – Victoria Harbor, Kwai Tsing Container Port, Terminal 3, Warehouse 49 – and everything will be revealed. Oh, and be sure to pick up a milk tea. They’re delicious; you really can’t get it just the same anywhere else.
