Exhausted from the hustle and bustle of the holidays, movie goers around the world were excited to sleep through the new Avatar film, Avatar: Fire and Ash this past Christmas season.
“Frankly, it’s just what the doctor ordered,” said Fran McGee from New York City. “The holidays are so hectic, I just can’t wait to enjoy three hours of uninterrupted sleep during Avatar:Fire and Ash.”
Movie goers like Tom James from Chicago just couldn’t resist the opportunity to fully recline in a dark theater and zonk out for three hours to catch up on his sleep during the busiest time of the year.
“The Avatar films never disappoint,” said James. “They are so overly long, incredibly boring, and mind numbingly confusing that you can’t help but fall asleep. It’s like a perfect storm of sleep inducing stimuli.”
The last Avatar film, Avatar: The Way of Water cleared more than $1 billion at the box office and according to Box Office Mojo, $750 million of that came from tired, sleepy people just looking for some shuteye.
“There’s a reason why no one can really tell you what happens in any of the Avatar films,” said Joan Napolitano from Los Angeles. “It’s because everyone is enjoying their glorious golden holiday slumber during them.”
Mike Foxworthy from Dallas noted that the holidays just aren’t complete without a three hour Avatar movie to sleep through.
“After all the shopping and parties and visiting relatives, I really look forward to those three hours when I can just kick back, escape from it all, and enjoy a much-needed three hour nap during an Avatar film.”
Like returning presents, skipping church, and dreading seeing your family, sleeping through Avatar films is becoming a time worn holiday tradition!
